on "Zen Buddhism
and Hasidism, A Comparative Study",which was read by Prof. Seymour Siegel of The
Jewish Theological Seminary and Prof. Philip Yampolsky of Columbia
University. 1972: Master of
Arts, majoring in the Bible
& Jewish Philosophy, The Jewish Theological Seminary of America,
New York . 1967: Bachelor of
Arts in Bible and Philosophy
from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Jerusalem, Israel.

ACTIVITIES:
The Gilboa Institute of the Humanities
is a consulting firm, established by JYT in May, 1985. He is proud of
the records of his service which satisfied many distinguished clients
such as Hitachi, NEC, Diamond, Nikkei and others.
He provides custom-made professional
training programs for corporate staffs and executives. The lectures
presented by Dr. Teshima receive the highest reputation from the
audience everywhere. He trained more than 6,000 high-tech industry
sales people, more than 1,000 corporate managers and executives, and
many other professionals such as teachers and medical doctors.
Once a big name Japanese company came
to a deadlock in negotiation with her foreign client. He advised them
a strategy for the negotiation. They followed his advice.
Consequently, the foreign client withdrew their excessive demands and
the contract was happily made.
He also publish "News Letter for the
Executives," a biweekly Japanese fax news service, in which he
discusses various current international issues as well as domestic
problems, and analyzes the essence of the problem in the light of the
Jewish law and the Talmudic thoughts.
He wrote more than a dozen books on
Jewish thought. His first book, "Yudayajin-wa Naze Yushu-ka" (What's
behind Jewish Excellence ), published in 1979, was widely accepted as
an excellent introduction to Jewish life and Judaism. "Yudayajin-no
Bijinesu Tetsugaku, (A Jewish Business Philosophy), published in
1994, showed an authentic Jewish business ethics to the Japanese
readers and effectively stopped the spread of the so-called
anti-Semitism in Japan.
His recent book, "Yudaya Talmud
Business, (Business Philosophy of Talmud)", originally published in
Japanese in 1998, was translated into Korean and Chinese and
emancipating the readers in those emerging countries. In Korea more
than 80,000 people welcomed it.
His latest book in Chinese, "What's
behind the Jewish Excellence?" (320 pages, Central Compilation and
Translation Press, Beijing) is ranked one of best selling books in
China
